SULPHUR IN THE AIR FROM BURING COAL AND OIL, COMBINES WITH AIR, RAIN AND SUNLIGHT TO FORM SULPURIC ACID, WHICH MIXES WITH THE RAIN AND LANDS ON YOUR NEW CAR. THOSE WATER BEADS ON YOUR PAINT ARE ACTUALLY DROPLETS OF MILD SULPHURIC ACID. PLUS THE SHAPE OF THE DROPLET ON YOUR PAINT ACTS LIKE A MAGNIFYING GLASS TO INTENSIFY THE SUN'S RAYS. OXYGEN IN THE AIR AIDS THE PROCESS. THE RESULT IS THAT THE PAINT FINISH, ACTUALLY THE CLEARCOAT IS DEEPLY ETCHED ALONG THE OUTSIDE EDGE OF THE WATER DROPLET.
